The third graders experienced being an audience of an Inventors Alive presentation today - much like what students from K-12 will experience on March 24th! Everyone is so excited and eager to learn more about their own inventor. Find out all about the project in our INVENTORS ALIVE PAGE ! 3rd Grade Science Activity: Space in 30 Seconds !The MPH was packed ! Students and teachers from different grade levels stormed the MPH to witness third grade's SPACE IN 30 SECONDS , a space unit culminating activity. 11 pairs shared 30 second fascinating facts about the universe in different ways. The different presentations were composed of puppet shows, powerpoint slides, demonstration, building a model, news reports, diagrams and fun games. It was a great opportunity for our third graders to share their knowledge and talents with the Brent community! We are so proud of them! Check out their pictures! What a treat for third graders this week! We had an action-packed week full of fun activities inside and outside the classroom. Here's a recap of what we have done this week :

The solar system unit took another turn this week as we learned about the space concepts of gravity, mass, orbit and rotation. We created satellite models and scaled distances of the planets. The kids had so much fun! In Language Arts, both classes stayed focused on their workshop units. 3A is drafting their essays while 3B continues to immerse themselves in non fiction text features.
